The tar Heel Gem & Mineral Club recently went to the Martin-Marietta,

East Alamance Haw River Quarry.  I'm working on it now.

Great job on the report, Scott. Smiley
And while I was reading it I was thinking about how hard it
must be to try and collect and take pictures for the report
at the same time. I know I didn't have time to look at all the
things I wanted to in the quarry. I can appreciate the
discipline it must take to stop and take pics for a report.
And great pics, too! Smiley

Thanks,  Joe.

Well thanks Joe.  It's compliments like that really keeps that "discipline" thing going.  Grin It does cut into my digging or searching time, but the information and history preserved in a few photos can prove invaluable.  Thanks.

Scott,

I have to agree with Joe.  Finding the time to take photos on a 'hounding trip takes dedication.  Most of the time I can't walk and chew gum at the same time!  Especially if I'm concentrating on looking for mineral specimens.
