A tribute to "The Oaks"

One our most fantastic collecting locations for smoky quartz often included with superb crystals of rutile is now a part of history.  Once a carved dirt path through the woods, now is a nicely paved and manicured subdivision with homes.  This video is tribute to one of my the most memorable rockhounding experiences.  It is also a tribute to Joe Moylan, if it were not for his wisdom and vigilance in searching this location's secrets would never have been revealed.  (For optimal viewing I suggest watching the video on youtube so that you can full screen the video and/or watch in HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDQ9CjJkeJw.)

WOW! That's a great job you did. Almost as good as
seeing them in person. Great pictures of some beautiful specimens. It's sooo nice to have a good record of the site!
I'll be watching this one a few more times. Wink
Thanks, Joe

Thanks Joe, I had almost as fun photographing the specimens and editing the video as I did finding them.  Though, obviously there's not much that beats the feeling of finding these treasures.  I did try to add a few photographs never shown before in the video to make it little more interesting.  I do feel I could have added much more content to the video and I may redo and create an extended video for "The Oaks".
