	I gotta ask. Are those Bowling green specimens from new collecting or from some older times? My back went out about two weeks ago but I might have to drag my butt over there.

	Speaking as an unabashed fanatic, yes you should get your fat (or however in a state of reduction )butt over there and dig. Yes, I know it's not what it used to be, yes I know you aren't probably going to find anything. These are not the questions. The questions are: " Is there amethyst potential here?" and "Can I go out here and dig?"" All other questions are irrelevant! Just do it!!!

	I have to take issue with the description of my ass as fat. It is skinny and almost non existent. My gut on the other hand is way too big and could be called and rightly so fat. And this is AFTER I posted that nice compliment on Facebook about your face. Sad to say, I have not been doing much digging at all recently. I have several bad discs in my lower back that have me on pain killers just so I can move. Had an injection last week that helped a little bit. To your real point. Yes, when I can I should get over there since it is all of 10 minutes away.

	I especially love the mica. Resizing is not too hard to do. Paint is a great program and very easy.

	That's a real pretty specimen with the smoky attached to the mica like that. Very nice. That Raleigh area is really amazing. Congratulation on such a neat find and thanks for posting it, I really enjoy seeing all the neat things coming from your area.

	Lots of rain this weekend. Joe and I had a great time looking at all the newly revealed rocks and in situ earth. It was as if mother nature ran the entire construction site through a sluice for us. This was my best find today. It was a surface find -- finding the source vein would have been awesome. This is a unique piece as the crystallization is associated with a foliated quartz d**e as the matrix. I would normally expect the fissure or zone of crystallization to run perpendicular to the foliation. In this case, however, it runs in parallel. 13 x 8 x 6 cm
