As usual, Scott, I can't see what my own specimens look like until I see your pictures. Much better than in person!
Here's a good example. The first two pictures in this last group of yours are of a flat surface covered with triangular terminations. I found a piece like that but can't see it as well as in your pics! Thank You! Shocked

Now, Scott, your last picture. I have a lot of cleaning left to do on the cluster. And it will probably fall apart in the process, but I'm thinking the Citrine color is more than skin deep.  Cool

Nice finds Joe. It's interesting how there were I believe at least three separate growing events. The first generation was the clear normal habit druzy or needle quartz crystals, the second was amethyst on top of that, and the last generation was the lustrous smoky "eggs" as we've been calling them. Although some of the eggs have amethyst too but are rarer.

Yes, and the few quality amethyst crystals I have are under  .25"
Yep, you were right, that cluster fooled me. I really thought more of the "citrine" color was thru and thru, but it didn't take long for it to disappear in Iron Out.  Smiley
I will have to re-bathe some of the pieces in IO. Some of that stain may be included. Maybe enough to even call it Citrine!
Quick Pics.
Pic 1 is the cluster after being cleaned in Iron Out, with the one section that fell off during cleaning sitting in front.
Pic 3 is of the same small pieces pictured before Iron Out and
Pic 4 is of a few more pieces after initial cleaning in IO.
All of those will have to have another bath in IO to see what color remains.

These pics are just to show how hard we are working to get through this stuff! Tongue
Pic 1 is of the veins we're laboriously and diligently digging thru. One piece on the left has not been cleaned and the others have beem.
Pic 2 is of a couple pieces I'm going to leave natural so I don't ruin ALL of my Citrine! It's pretty rare and getting rarer. Smiley

Found this little 67.5 lb. cluster already dug up and sitting in a pile of dirt at a new spot we were checking out. Not badly damaged and has a few green Chlorite Phantoms.
About 300 yards from the car... Tongue

I don't know Joe.. seems kind of small. You might need to throw it back & let it grow some more.  Grin

Seriously, looks nice. Maybe someone decided it wasn't worth the hernia to pick it up, and left it for another to deal with. Or they found a bigger one. Roll Eyes

I know, there were several other smaller clusters found and it's hard to imagine the backhoe operator didn't see these clumps of crystals he was digging up? I'd like to talk to him.
My hip bones are still sore from the walk out with it but I'm going to plant it in the backyard and see if it sprouts! Smiley

Here's some pictures of a few nice crystals I found this past weekend. Hematite needles were present as well.
