Dang It, Jim! You know when you get a camera that will take
a decent close-up we're going to have to go back and delete
all these pics we can't see!
And I'd love to see this one! I believe you when you say it's
a good one.
Keep trying tho, Wink
Thanks, Joe

There you go, Jim! What ever you're doing, keep doing it! Wink

Very gemmy little guy there. Got the amethyst smokey mix
you see so much from the Reel.
I think I know right where you found that one at.
Just joking, of course, but seriously, I'm glad to see you post
a pic of a smaller specimen. I was beginning to think they
had to be big enough for you to trip over before you'd
pick it up! Grin

OK, here's my first attempt at posting a photo. Hope it works. It is some garnets on matrix collected in Lincoln Co.

Yes, excellent picture Tim.  Those are the first garnets I've seen from Lincoln Co.  Nice find!

A few more from Lincoln Co. An iron mineral, limonite I assume, pseudomorph after pyrite

You know what to look for, Tim! Wink
Agree with your ID's but would have to look at the second pic
of the limonite after pyrite closer.
Thanks for the pics,
Joe

Nice pegmatite full of big mica.  I like the pecan as reference.   That's a lot of tourmaline there.  Great finds!

Here's a couple of small Linc. Co. quartz crystal clusters. The first is from the Reel Mine and the second is from a diferent location approx. 5 miles from the Reel Mine. Both are smoky and the second has a hint of purple which didn't show up in the photo.
