	The Canyon Diablo meteorites created the famous Meteorite Crater in Winslow, AZ. This is pics of one that weighs 998 grams and has been cleaned.

	What an awesome specimen. What is the copper looking piece imbedded in there? Also, is there some type of gloss that has been applied to it or is it naturally that shiny?

	The meteorite has been cleaned and buffed to get it to this level of shine. The brown area is a piece of rock that got stuck in the meteorite on impact with the Earth. This was an experiment in that I had this meteorite sand blasted initially to maintain all the surface features. If you see one that is just collected, it will have brown patina from being in AZ for about 50,000 years.
