Diamond Hill Mine machine dig

Just finished this video from the Diamond Hill machine dig 3 weeks ago.
It's a group of the South-East best diggers who come together for a bi-yearly machine dig for amethyst, smoky, skeletal, and everything-in-between quartz crystal dig.
This was my first time trying to edit any video  ...ever...as well as adding sound...
I used a 5 year old $60 camera to film..wish it had HD
The sound sucks because..well..it's a $60 camera

The finds are at the end..all are uncleaned except for a quick spray with water..all the ammy's and smoky's have coatings on them which need to be soaked in acid to remove

Got to turn the volume up

Very nice video Jason.  I know that took a lot of work and editing.  It is great to have this to reference and something that would have otherwise been lost to history forever.  Thanks.

Yes, thanks for posting that, AG.
I still haven't been back since the last time the two of us were
there at the same time.
The place looks a WHOLE LOT different! Shocked

Somebody hit a good vein the week after us, Scott, got a truck bed full or so I hear....right as you walk down into the ammy pit..right in between the smoky and ammy that little ridge someone hit it big there

A couple photos at the very end are stock photos from different digs..hte ones with my gloves on and the yellow one are from the dig...I didn't have anyone else's clean ones to use

Joe, we all hoped you would have come to the split.  Scott said you had prior obligations...wish you could have come.
Scott did you see in the credits I put your nickname as "the quartz guru" Cool

Scott great job.  It was nice to see the field work. How long did it take to split up all these crystals? Cheesy

Yes, AG, You know what they say...............
If you want to find quartz crystals
You must first go and see the old Quartz Guru on the mount. Smiley
