A rockhounding trip to Hiddenite scheduled by the M.A.G.M.A. club.  Also, just to clear things up, the crystal I show in situ on the video is not the same tessin habit crystal shown being held.  That crystal was found by another gentleman who attended the dig.  I realized after creating the video that I shouldn't have juxtaposed the two crystals like that in the video.

Scott,
Neat video. What else did you come away with besides the mica?  I wanted to go but Kim had surgery.  It sounds like the next time out they are going to dig down deeper before the club gets there.

Dan, I didn't find anything else besides smoky quartz and mica.  I was hoping to find some beryl in the pegmatite body around the Buffaloe Vein but not this time.

Nice mica gems. I love those things. I especially like the cluster. Thanks for showing.
