Graves Mountain is by far the coolest place i have had the opportunity to visit.  I have heard from several people if you cant find nice pieces at Graves then you aren't trying hard enough.  I have one small album of pictures up but i have several more pieces i will be taking photos of and need to get some pictures from some people who came up to where i was digging and snapped pictures of my pocket i got into.  Here is a little teaser.

Well Mark you certainly hit the right spot.  I've not been as successful as you at finding the really good stuff.  You did very well.  Good job and good photos.

Scott

I'm currently using a Cannon 70D with a Cannon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm.  But I also use focus stacking software, specifically Helicon Focus.

Oh yeah!..Now that's what I'm talkin about!  The mirror was a nice touch for that super botroidal and the colors and patterns on all of those specimens are magnificent!   Great YT vid as well Scott.  It was truly an honor slangin' next to ya and the other NC hounds this past weekend.

I will post my hi fidelity Samsung 3 photos soon...time to go find some playdough  Undecided

I have attached two Scanning Electron Micro photos from  CalTech of Ir. Hematite.  The first is from Graves mountain and the second is from the Andrade mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil which features both the Aluminum and Phosphorous crystals in fine detail.
