Finally, after nearly a decade my search is over. I was able to get a nice specimen of green Fluorite from the Hamme Mine.

I don't know when the specimen was collected, but it does have a good history. It came from the Ex. Francis M. Hueber (1929-2019) collection, No. 8-545. [Wingerath, J. and C. Hotton. 2020. In Memoriam: Francis “Fran” Maurice Hueber (1929–2019), Rocks & Minerals, 95:1, 99-100.]

The Hueber specimen card indicated that it was from Henderson, Vance Co., NC.  Green fluorite is only known in Vance Co. at the Hamme Tungsten mine, as far as my search has gone.

The specimen has pretty Hamme "green" Fluorite xls. on drusy quartz xls., with micro Chalcopyrite xls., and what I am calling a vermiform quartz on the fluorite.  Measurements are: 4.3 x 1.9 x 2.0 in (10.9 x 4.9 x 5.2 cm).

Below are photos of the specimen with closeups of the fluorite and chalcopyrite xl.  My camera is not the best for taking really good macro shots.

Dennis

Yes, that is a very pretty, good size, clean looking specimen.
Good job, Dennis, Congratulations!
That fluorite is on a lot of folks bucket-lists. Very rare and hard to find.
Thanks for the pictures. Smiley
