I thought I'd go ahead and separate the Burgin Mine part of the weekend.
There were 6 of us hearty souls who were still strong enough
to manage another grueling, but fueling, day in the field. Cool

Scott's been working around these two big ol'boulders the
last 4 or 5 times he's been there. It took a couple of days
just to clear the 3-4 feet of tailings that covered this area.
I wanted to get some shots of his work while he had it cleaned out
and "ready for photo".
This is an example of really pretty work! Wink
The crystal pockets are in the dark red clay vein running from
top to bottom of the pictures.

And a few more pictures I took.  The picture of the pocket is several hours after Joe took a picture of it.  Much rock was removed around it and the pocket was cleaned out as best I could.

The second picture is Joe, Wesley, and Mr. Burgin.  Mr. Burgin is a special man -- friendliest person you'll ever meet.  He's always welcomes us there and always wishes us the best of luck.  It is always a pleasure to see him and talk with him.
