I knew you had a good supply of it when you said it was only an hour
or so down the road from you.
I'm curious, do you have to cover your nose and/or mouth when
you're out there with all that salt on the flats?

Thank you the forum looks like it could inform me a quite a bit. No covering your mouth but you really need to put the sunscreen on, that salt flat is like a mirror. Hunting can only be done for like an hour. Then you need to get to a carwash and get the salt off your vehicle. My method of hunting there is what I call the vulture. I look for mounds where previous diggers where then walk along and pick from the surface. That's actually what that first picture is, a mound with crystals that a digger had missed.

That's some really neat stuff, I'd be out there all the time.  Although I'd probably get tired of washing my car down every time.  I guess everything has a price.
