My photography setup.

This is my specimen platform for photography.  I wanted to make a video of it because it's the easiest way to show how it works.  All parts can be purchased for under $20.00.  And it literally assembles itself.  I cannot claim this design concept as completely my own creation as I have modified the design of another mineral photographer Pete Richards who got the idea from the late Erich Offermann a Swiss photographer.  Pete posted his design online here:  http://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=12067&highlight=#1206...

Nice, Scott.   Much better than just putting it on a table top or on black felt and shooting from above.  I always thought your photography was top notch.

Looks like a good project for rainy days; I think that even I could probably do it!
