Chatham County 09/21/14

Got to do a little digging yesterday with RaleighRockhound out in Chatham County.  We were digging in an area where crystals have been found before.  After 3 hours or so, we could not find the vein from which the crystals came from.  It could be that these have floated there way from the vein.  Anyways, we were finding crystals and we were happy.

Some of the crystals contained Phantoms and Chlorite inclusions.  I even think that I found a mud inclusion that will have to be debated later on.  We found lots of fractured pieces that actually turned out to be rehealed.

I did not get to clean these very well and will have to put some better pics up in the next couple of days.  Cheers  Smiley

A cluster that I believe that also contained phantoms.  I need to get cleaned up better and take a better pic.

I didn't even know this one was going to turn out so cool.  It was completely covered in mud.

Here is an example of something that looked fractured on the backside, but when washed off, it shows it was rehealed

Very cool finds Collin!  Classic Coopers Ridge phantoms.  The double terminated one is awesome!   Cheesy
