We had some storage baskets, from Ikea or somewhere, that had rope handles strung with these giant ceramic beads. The baskets were worn out and trashed, but we saved the beads. I think they make great replacement handles after the plastic originals break off 5-gallon buckets. A little wire bending to thread the bead, and re-bending to reinsert the bail, and there you go.
