Beginners ... and kids.

Last time we were there, I dug a nice big hole and found some decent crystals (not like this one, of course, but I was happy).  But, my 9 year old was sitting right next to me digging his own tiny (and shallow) hole, and found 2 pieces bigger than any of mine.

I'm curious - were you back in the woods or in the front area?  The big crystals I've seen/heard about seem to come from pretty deep down (or at least that's what people have told me...)  Cool

We were digging in the front and not very deep at all.  It was back in November and I heard that the dirt has all been screened now.
