	I am hoping someone can help identify this, Was found of the South West shore of Lake Michigan~Harrington Beach. found lots of Brachiopods and Crinoid Stems but I wasn't sure what this was. Thanks in advance, I am a Novice .

	I'm definitely no fossil expert. I perused google images for fossils of Michigan and then coral fossils. My guess it that it's some sort of striated coral.

	Actually with some more brains helping it was found to be a Styolite structure in the bedrock I was in. Pretty neat.

	Great, that makes sense. I wanted to call it some sort of pet wood but I couldn't see any silicified areas and the striations didn't fit. Thanks for the pic, and the answer.

	That's funny you said Pet wood, after a few glances at first I thought possibly also but like you said no evidence of silica.
