Chinese Chiastolite

I've been working on a batch of cabs out of some of this rather unique material.
Chiastolite is a form of Andalusite. Very much like mica.
I was told years ago when I purchased it, that this material came from China,
but lately have seen the same material advertised from Russia.
Regardless, or irregardless, the most obvious unique trait of all Chiastolite
is the cruciform down the length of the crystals.
The crystals grow like square squash or gourds with a stem on both ends.
Here are a few pictures of the rough and then a few cabs.
I just love them backlit! Cool

Thanks, Scott. Interesting stuff to play with.
That last one is a keeper. Front light pic is terrible but it's a sweet little cab.
