Hello,

Currently I live in Miami, however grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  I have find memories in childhood and teen years scavenging for agates, copper and silver.

I remember camping out on ths Cliffs running around with a hammer in search of fortune. Smiley  I remember having bonfires on shore of the Lake and in daytime searching for that enormous agate. 

Great news  I finally found a great agate...but in a thrift store.  No clue which type, etc.

Welcome ratnip.  Hopefully your ready to get back out in the field and create some new memories although you may have to travel a bit north from Miami. Hope to see more of your finds in the future. I would guess that your thrift store agate is a Brazilian agate.  Thanks for sharing.
