I'm going to be in Wilkes Co. sometime soon, About 20 miles east of Boone. I don't know exact location yet. But what kinds of minerals might one expect to be on the lookout there? It is mountain type land. I already scrapped thinking I'll find quarts crystal points since the forum didn't seem to have a page on Wilkes Co. . . yet.  But other types can someone suggest to be on high alert for?
