Quartz Arrowhead - I think?

Hey everyone,
I believe this is an arrowhead. I've never actually found one before this. I was running up at Max Patch Mtn near Hotsprings, North Carolina back in December & this was right on the trail.

Can anyone confirm this?

Are those springs really hot? That's what I'd like to know. A good soak in a hot spring sounds pretty good!
And it sure looks like an arrowhead. Worked all the way around.
Won't hurt it a bit if you want to hit it with some soap and water and an old toothbrush.
Looks like a quartzite arrowhead. Since you found it up in the mountains it would be
called a Pisgah and dates from about 1000AD - 1450AD.
I'll bet those springs were still hot 6-800 years ago when this point was lost or left behind.
Good eye. Thanks for the pic.
