smoky quartz and possible geode?

So I found this rock and I don't know what it is. My guess is some kind of quartz but in the light there is an odd rainbow shimmer coming from inside the rock.  Also it is pretty translucent although hard to tell in the pictures. Its large, about the size of a baseball/softball maybe.

I found the rock with the pits a couple years ago in the spotsy area, and I didn't ever crack it open because I thought it was a meteorite but maybe it is a geode. I wanted second opinions before I cracked it open. It is abnormally heavy for how small it is. First picture you can see the rainbow emanating from inside.

I didn't want to crack either of the rocks without an opinion of them raw and unopened first. Thanks!!!

I'm not really thinking geode on the one with the pits...I just don't know what it is really. Its super heavy, geodes are normally lighter/lumpy. This thing feels twice as heavy as it looks

The first specimen is definitely smoky quartz that has been rounded by weathering.  The white streaks through it are caused by fractures that run through it.  One of the names given to that type of quartz is "coon tail quartz".

The second specimen is a little tougher.  It looks as though some mineral or concretion has weather out of that rock leaving the pits.  If you break or cut that one open we may learn a lot more about what this rock consists of.  The outside of it is so weathered it's hard to determine true color and consistency.
