Schorl in quartz.

This was found at the cemetery and donated to the Scott LaBorde collection by Josh Gardner.  Thanks Josh!

The interesting thing about these schorl crystals is something that Joe pointed out -- these schorl crystals don't have the typical 3 sides (triangle) we're used to seeing, but instead 6 sides (hexagonal).

The largest schorl crystal measures 1.5 x 0.5 cm.

Schorl I collected at Ligon Mine, Amelia County, VA, also had six-sided crystals.  It wasn't in quartz but rather in a very tough schist, probably meta-sandstone in origin.  BTW, word is the owners of Ligon Mine don't allow collecting any more, but I have not personally knocked on their door to confirm.
