no one seems to know

I have asked several people in my area who know rocks and no one seems to know what exactly it is I been told maybe montana moss agate but I still have not found any thing like it any where online.

That's an unusual looking one for sure but I'd have to guess Montana Agate as well. If you can get your hands on the book "Montana Agates" by Tom Harmon I think you might find something close to it.
The orbs or spheres are unusual as well as the general formation for Montana agate, but there is quite a variety of that material.
But I would definitely make it a "collection" piece and not cut it anymore.

my Great Grandfather cut and polished it before he passed away so I have no Idea where the other piece is but it sits in a led lighted acrylic museum box
