Here's some interesting metallic to black inclusions I spotted in a quartz crystal.

Thanks for the pics, Scott. It would be nice to get such pics from several specimens with these so we can compare and look for any noticeable differences. I'll try a couple and see how they come out.
Hematite, Ilmenite, Molybdenite, or all three?
On some of the blebs in these pictures I think I can see a little red color seeping out, which would make me guess Hematite.
Atleast you have gotten the ball rolling. Wink

I agree with hematite.  As you pointed out, the red color can be easily seen in the photos.
