Agatized, Jasperized, and mesmerized.

I don't know what the host rock is for the first specimen but it looks pretty darn agatized to me. It's going to take me a while before I can cut a piece off of it to see what it is after trying to polish it up by hand. Trying to get the the house fixed up and ready to sell next year  Cool. The other beautiful specimen I found looks like a giant wad of different colored bubble gum that has been Jasperized. Its Brecciated and possibly agatized with some Rosey Quartz Cheesy. The sun was going down so the rocks might have a slight yellowish tint. Until I sell the house, these girls are going to be sitting pretty out in my backyard.

Whooee, those are some pretty rocks! Thanks for the pics, Waliele,
but how do you know they're both girls?! HA!
I like that first one best. Not sure what it is but in the first two pictures the bottom half has a row of the white lines that remind me of a coral.
Might be an agatized coral something like the one in this link,
http://rockhoundlounge.com/cgi-bin/yabb252/YaBB.pl?num=1400380974

Anyway, that one is pretty unique and others have probably been found in that same area, (unless you have the only one that's ever been found!), so there should be info about it somewhere.
What county and/or state did you find it?

And I'm going out on a limb here and guess that pretty jasper looking piece is petrified wood that's been extremely rounded, worn, and naturally polished by water and/or sand.

Two Keepers to be sure! Thanks for the pics.

Well, I can admire a handsome looking guy but I only get excited by a fine looking woman. Lol. Anyway, found these two at my now favorite spot out here in San Benito County,  Ca. There's fossilized clams and other sea creatures out here spread out through the area to Monterey County but I haven't really looked into anybody finding fossilized coral out here. Diffently going to take a look. The one in the link you provided sure is a Beauty! But I'll be darn lucky to find something like that out here.

Well, Wailele, I haven't found anything at all that helps ID your black and white rock,
but take a look at the first pic in this link.
Is that a big piece of your rock that Bill has his right hand on?
Might be a lead. Undecided

Unfortunately, Bill has retired and the Geozeum is no longer open. Would have been nice to meet the guy to learn more about the rocks and minerals in this area but last word I got is that he moved somewhere far south. He would have diffenitely clarified a lot of things for me. Can't say for sure what type of rock he has his hands on though. I know the area I'm searching in is abundant with metamorphic rocks in a Sedimentary setting, if that makes any sense. The place is also littered with colorful Metachert where some are brecciated. If the rock that I'm looking at is breccia chert, then that's the first I've seen one agatized. I have found two sedimentary agates out there that has some dark purple tones to it which is pretty nice but nothing too crazy. I'll post a pic later.

I have a Crazy question though, is it possible for a Sedimentary rock to go through some silicified process to look like the bubble gum rock?

Anything is possible given enough time.  Rocks can be volcanic, and then turned to sedimentary, and then metamorphosed, then remelted and mixed with any combination of other rocks, and on and on.  Any imaginable combination probably exists.  The hard part is really trying to understand the geology and then guess as accurate as possible to how the rocks in a given area were formed.

Thanks Scott. Understanding the Geology in this area is definitely the hardest part. Still trying to wrap my head around all the available resources I find on the internet.
