Ok so this is pretty much the type of minerals I found just on that day.

That's some really cool material.  Well done on those finds! Some of those would definitely produce some great cabs.

Also FYI you can post all your pictures in one post as opposed to doing them all as separate posts (which is more tedious).  You simply need to click on the down arrow next to "Attachments" on the left side and it will add an additional file download option.  You can click on that attachment button as many times as you have files and get it all done with one singe post. Much easier.   Cheesy

That is really really pretty stuff and looks like a fine quality - lots of translucency and the not fractured. I would be happy to find that all day long.
It is screaming to be cut, but some of those bigger pieces are too nice to cut, me thinks (but I have a bad problem of needing to see what is inside of rocks like that now). At least the big blue and white one with pink shouldn't be cut and whatever appeals to you. Is that small blue rectangle piece you are holding in your hand, along with two others, the same material?

This material looks similar to some that I found off Lovin Hill Road in southern Montgomery Co., NC many years ago. The material was associated with druzy crystallized vein quartz and metasedimentary rock contacts and had crypto-crystalline quartz varieties such as carnellian, agate and white opal along with chert. I found this stuff to be rather uncommon in NC although I suspect that along the fall-line where I found some it is more common than realized. That's some really nice stuff you got there!

Thanks, its pretty but I need to explore that area better, I found most of the pretty specimens where water has washed away dirt, ravines/wash/drainage etc so I'm thinking somebody in the past found this spot and cherry picked the surface so maybe it's time to dig! Rebecca, yes that small blue is from the same area, it's beautiful isn't it, I want to find more of that color and I know its there I basically tried to grab different specimens of everything I saw because I don't know much about rocks but I've been brushing up. I'll post more pics next time I get a chance to get back to that spot for sure. I wish I knew someone who buys bulk because I'd fill up buckets for them and beat anyone's prices for sure! Smiley
