I borrowed a couple specimens of the Asylum Quartz from a friend to take a closer look at.
The first thing I noticed while going thru his selection was that the basis for this particular event reminded me a lot of our speclarite phantom quartz from Coopers Ridge in Chatham County. This first cluster is a good example.

Here's too many pics of the same crystal. All the different colored needles in this quartz is one thing so amazing about it. Some pieces have better red and green needles than in this specimen.
