Hi everyone -- my 11-year-old son has a soccer tournament in Greensboro over Labor Day weekend, so he and I will be driving down from the Richmond area. He's a rockhound just like his old man, so we're hoping to have some time to hunt for mineral specimens at some point during the weekend (the game schedule hasn't been released yet).

If anyone can point us in the direction of any general localities in the Greensboro or the larger Guilford County area that might be worth a look, or would be interested in meeting up if the soccer schedule allows, I'd love to hear from you.
