Got that big blue - green glass looking stone.

My father brought this green thing to me. The old man who gave it to my father said to him that this is a mineral, but i am not pretty sure about it. It is completely transparent as you can see, and it looks like a glass boulder, one of those that are for garden decoration etc.. From the other hand, it also looks like green obsidian - Google Search? i Dont know, maybe it is a crystal or something. Help me please!

100% glass. Nothing usually has that kind of color.
As you can see, it's internally flawless. If it were a topaz or aquamarine, it would've been faceted looooooong ago.

That is a nice piece of window glass bort. At the end of glass production they pore the leftover glass out of the crucible.,they then break up the glass soit can be remelted  Window glass is typically that color green when viewed through the thickest section.  The color is from calcium, lithium, and trace iron found in sand that is used in glass making.
