Here's something very interesting - a "star" in quartz I found in Washington!
We currently believe that this is gypsum/anhydrite.

Nice find, Eric. Very clean crystal and inclusion. The inclusion is clear enough to possibly get a visual identification.
Interesting, and good, guess on the gypsum/anhydrite. I have found plenty of examples of quartz psuedomorphs after anhydrite searching the net but have not seen any examples of quartz with anhydrite inclusions. Will have to keep searching.
