Turquoise instead of chrysocolla maybe?

I first wrote this specimen off as chrysocolla, I was getting specific gravity test between 2.6 and 2.8 on the blue from that spot where I'm looking for that vein but because I cant get cell service out there and haven't had any luck finding that vein of chrysocolla in quartz I wasn't really planning on going back. I never bothered to do a scratch test on the blue until this morning and a steel pushpin leaves pencil like marks and I thought I heard somewhere that's one way people tell the difference between turquoise and chrysocolla out in the field? If its turquoise I'm going back  Cheesy
What do ya guys think, possibly turquoise or maybe a mix?

Tounge sticks to some of the lighter areas but the deeper color where I scratched my tongue doesn't stick at all, also that what I thought was acanthite in chrysocolla vein, but turned out to be geothite after pyrite the one I was making a cabochon with, here's a picture of it, my tounge doesn't stick to that blue either, I'm thinking it's a turquoise chrysocolla mix. Any opinions?

I don't know, Rock. Maybe the 'green' is turquoise and the blue is chrysocolla?  But it definitely looks like a mix.

You might want to go back to that spot one more time. Wink

Im going next week Smiley! I have one more suspect and I think I might have nailed it, I was checking out nearby mines and one of the closest mines is queen of sheba mine and something called plancheite is found there and has a hardness of 6 and also wont stick to your tounge, the crystals are usually deep royal blue acicular or sprays which I have in small quartz crystals but it also forms like what you see, here's some pictures of those sprays in little crystals I found from out there and a mindat photo that could explain my vein material, mines more gemmy but matches the hardness and no adhesion when I stick my tounge to it.

If you find any of those beautiful little blue crystals about an inch long, send me a PM! Wink
You know color alone is a very unreliable trait to go by, but when the specimen is so small what else are you going to do?
Yes, the blue in those little crystals does look more like Plancheite than something like Ajoite.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajoite

Very pretty "mix" of color from that spot. Good luck next week!

Thanks and Will do Joe Smiley, though I haven't seen any big crystals out there yet, its not the color that makes me think plancheite, it could be shattuckite as well, I'm thinking plancheite because of how close I am to where its verified to be found on mindat, its literally just a few miles away from where I am at, I haven't seen anything that looks like ajoite, someone gave me misinformation a while back and I really dont know what that was all about but now I'm doing my own research and asking questions,  school of hard rock instead of hard knock lol, I really couldn't capture in a photo what I see through my loupe with the naked eye, I see acicular deep royal blue crystal sprays, both shattuckite and plancheite form crystals like that inside quartz the only way to really tell is to have it assayed or if I can find a piece of that deep royal blue without crystals and do a scratch test, plancheite is about 2 1/2 points harder than shattuckite. I'll post my findings if I find anything good next week and I'll PM you if I find bigger crystals with any pretty blue inclusions.
