Won the mineral lottery

Hey everyone! Don’t you just love finding a diamond that someone thinks it’s glass? I came across this specimen that was listed as Brazilian emerald in matrix. I’ve collected enough emeralds to know what it was. It was confirmed that this specimen is emerald in matrix from the Crabtree Mine. From many trips to the mine, this is what I already knew. This 10 by 6-inch plate was dug out of an amazing seam in the 80s by the Ledford Family. They have one of the plates for sale on their Facebook page.

Whooeee, that's a sweet looking morsel! Like to take a bite out of it.  Smiley
Heck that's the whole pie. Good Eye!
Thanks for the picture. That's about the healthiest 'seam' like that I've seen.
Not even going to ask what you're going to do with it,
but there is a lot of 'it' there. Wink

Thanks, Joe. The plate weighs 6.8 pounds and has several emeralds over 1 inch long. If the price is right I might be willing to part with it.  Grin

Here is the side profile of the plate. It has the typical feldspar, quartz, tourmaline, and pink garnet mass matrix sandwiched between thick mica layers.
