First 2 pics are of some fossilized coral we found on our trip. There was tons of the stuff, I wish I'd grabbed a couple more pieces.

As far as I know these are all around 3.5 million years old, from when most of NA was tropical ocean. The 3rd pic is a crinoid column, I believe. I wet it a little so it was more visible. I'm not sure yet if I'll go digging into that to see it any better. I sort of like it the way it is. Curious about the black bit, it's definitely embedded and doesn't chip easily. It could be a super tiny cross section of a brachiopod, but that's my best guess.

Final pic and full disclosure I purchased this, I did not find it but it is from the same place we were rockhounding. It's so beautiful I couldn't pass it up. Beautiful fossil soup.  Smiley

Thanks for the pictures, Alina, Good stuff!  Smiley

It should be fine to put those pieces of coral in the Iron Out, too, if you want, but you may want to do a test piece first.
I wouldn't put your Crinoid Ball in the Iron Out or it may turn to confetti! But I am glad you have a question about whether the embedded in matrix piece is a crinoid or not? Something about it looks different from the Crinoid?
I wonder if it's something from the Actinoceras family like this;

BTW, the text with the above link is not mine, but almost could be. Wink
