Hello my name is Mike and I'm new to the forum and been rockhounding about a year now. Rocks and minerals have interested me since a kid. I've only been educating myself online. I decided to join a rockhounding forum to learn from others with years experience and to help me identify my finds and hopefully help others

Welcome Mike. Glad you found the RHL. There's lots to learn here especially if your just getting started. One piece of advise for fast forwarding your knowledge and experience is to spend as much time as you can in the field exploring and experiencing the geology.  Feel free to post any pictures of your expeditions or ask any questions.
