This piece of Rainforest Jasper from Australia was, to me, unusual enough to cut and polish the way it is/was. It is fairly common to find little 1-2" vugs filled with chalcedony or agate in this material, but this pocket is something I haven't seen before in this jasper.

Thanks ID. That Rainforest Jasper is a funky rock. One of the lesser known spherulitic rhyolite jaspers out there.

Nice polish job, you made a good choice to cut and polish it, turned out very nice indeed. Now that I know what a vug is, it's even more interesting. Thanks.
