The specularite coated and included crystals are very healthy looking and that's a real nice double-term. The smokies are rich, too! Thanks for the pictures, now go get some more of those! Smiley

Here are some pictures of the biggest crystals from a pocket I hit a couple Years ago. There were thousands of little crystals between the seams of a rock. Most were not much bigger than a few pieces rice.  Cabarrus herkimers  Shocked Cheesy

Yes, it looks like that crack was chock full of crystals! I like your comparison to the Herkimer. Some of them really could pass for Herks, right down to the traces of black hematite which could easily pass for the black hydrocarbon. Thanks for the pictures!

I gotta tell you tho', those sparkly specularite crystals are my fave! Smiley
