Rockhounding the western slope

Need some ideas.  I live in Cedaredge Co. and am in desperate need of rockhounding locations.   My main go to place is Bangs canyon in Grand Junction but outside of quartz and the rare-ish chirt, I haven't found much else.  I'd love some ideas of places to go that are within 2+- hrs away.  Thanks yall.
