Went out with the Tar Heel club this past weekend and had a great time. We ended up getting into Molybdinite as the neatest specimens.  Also found some great looking biotite and what our Kenny called prehnite.  Might turn out to be a coating of epidote.  No pics sorrry.  Dan  Smiley

We're going to have to get you a camera, Dan. Wink

I heard the trip went well. Glad you were able to make it.
I'm looking forward to another visit by the club.
Dennis should've gone on this one because it appears that
some beryl was also found! Which,to me, is pretty darn
exciting for Wake Co. Shocked

I do need a camera.   Grin The crystals sure looked like beryl to me.  They were small but the right shape.  Overall the quarry was surperb.  Dan

Awesome! Can't wait to see it myself.  Joe and I have been looking for beryl in Wake County for a long time now.
