I spent 3 or 4 hours out and about yesterday checking
a few spots I found the elusive finicky fungus at last year
but didn't see the first glimpse of any. It's still a little early,
but I was hoping with the warm temps they might be
tempted.

Decided to do a little looking around the lake...........

Wonderful pics Joe! Looks like it was a great day for everybody you ran into too! I love this time of year. I am having dreams of wildflowers opening and digging rocks!

It's on!!!! saw my first 5 today on a lunch break. didn't harvest any as they can grow a bit, oh i'll be back. we've been EXTREMELY lucky in the immediate Raleigh area with good rain showers/storms the last few days. They've been soooo isolated but have followed the same path. give it a week it'll be prime (atleast around here)

Can't wait.  I ate at Kanki Japanese steak house last night and was thinking how good it would have been if they were frying up some morels instead of the regular mushrooms they serve.
