Frosty Mine Obituary

I am sad to announce that the Frosty Mine in Montgomery County, where some of us have been digging really neat chloritic quartz crystals, is closed.  The owner of the huge recently logged tract adjacent to the mine has been bulldozing roads into the logged area, and while he was at it, he pushed tons of dirt over the hole and completely obliterated any chance of digging there again.  Just confirms my longtime adage:  "Get while the getting is good!".  On to the next dig!

Terrible news! That was some pretty stuff, so hopefully you can locate another spot near there.

Amen to that, Laurie! Got to get it while the gettin's good.
Sorry to hear about the Frosty, but maybe he'll open up
another spot with all that moving of dirt.
