i found these 3 rocks in ellenville,ny in a creek bed then broke them to get clean breaks. im studying to be a geologist but im very bad at identifying rocks and minerals as of yet so i'm going to have alot of questions(sorry in advanced)

While it is difficult to ID minerals from photos, it can be even more difficult to ID rocks.  But what you have looks like examples of gneiss.  The second photo shows undulating bands of biotite, feldspar and maybe fine grained quartz.  I would call it a biotite gneiss.  The other two look like they may be gneiss also, but with finer grained constituents and some iron staining.  While these are only rock samples, they do indicate an area with potential.  Also note that these are weathered samples, probably qualifying as saprolite.  Just my guess.
