Anyone going out there in the near future? I had hoped to get out there last Saturday but our daily thunderstorms has been keeping me inside.

No plans in the near future, but if we get enough interest with the forum members here I would set a trip up right away.

Yes, I would love to get up there and take a look at the place again
but it would be August or September before I have the time. Roll Eyes

We're gonna head out that way tomorrow since the weather is so much less humid after the cold front.

If anyone gets a trip together, would love to meet up with some of you  Smiley

We did make it out there. We had a bit of a time getting down into the lower areas. Looks like lots of rain run off created some gullies.

Came back home with some nice specimens. Have rocks soaking in 3 different batches and have the single and smaller crystal pieces inside to clean up. Gonna have a look at them under a bring light and my magnifying glass and hope to find something special Cheesy

You can find a few quickie photos here. I'll try to get some in natural light tomorrow. My husband found what I think is a nice little black quartz cluster and in one of the group photos, my dad found a nice little piece with some very small bluish green crystals. That piece is almost similar to a geode arrangement with some other interesting formations on the outside.
