Iceland will eventually be split into two separate islands as it sits astride the mid-atlantic ridge.  The ridge is a divergent plate boundary and thus are continuously pulling apart from each other like giant conveyor belts.  How boring would geology be without plate tectonics?   Wink

I also have been noticing a lot more activity around the world. Hope it shakes more gold out for me to find
