It was the mine's 85th anniversary celebration today, too. We brought cake. I would post video of mine owner Sam Dunaway playing fiddle during a mining break. And one of Rebecca creating an international goodwill event after showing a group of Japanese kids how to find garnet fragments. So here are some still photos.

In the overhead shot, beryl bits at bottom group. The light green fragments are gemmy. A six year old boy found a 2" crystal rod of this gemmy light green beryl. The rest is amazonite, moonstone, smoky quartz and amethyst. And garnet fragments.

I like the quartz-feldspar combos like at top of the big group photo. Rebecca saw a woman find a amethyst-amazonite combo.
