Perhaps this person is hoping on the improbably chance there's one ignorant rich person out there that takes the bite.  It's also likely that this person knows nothing about the value of mineral specimens and is too lazy to do any research.  That last possible case is that this person accidentally typed an extra digit or two when they posted it -- although unlikely.  But as it stands this person in reality has just wasted their time and money listing it for that price.
