Hello from Washington!

My name is Eric and I'm very excited to be part of this group.
I live in Washington, and of course, that lends itself to my quartz addiction. I have collected at many localities nearby, including a major find of amethyst scepters last year near a popular dig area.
Currently, I am prospecting a new claim for pyrite crystals of gargantuan sizes.

Pictured in the attached image is a very nice Quartz/Pyrite combo from the famous Spruce Claim here in King County, WA.

Welcome to the Board, Eric! Smiley Very glad you found it!

Glad to hear you like agate, too, and that is a beautiful specimen you posted above! Massive pyrite and, of course, Quartz!
Yes, I guess you could say there are a few on here that are a bit preoccupied with Quartz and all it's wondrous formations. Wink

I am a little familiar with some of the agates and jaspers from Washington and area but am pretty clueless about the Quartz Crystal possibilities found in your state. So thank you again for your introduction and we look forward to learning much more from you. Smiley

I wish. I found a chunk of a bluish agate laying just off the sidewalk in town years ago, but I don't think it's a blue.

Welcome Eric. And wow what a fantastic specimen you have there. That combo is wonderful. You've come to the right place being a quartz enthusiast. The colors, growth patterns, character, and personality of quartz is endless, and there is beauty in every instance.
