Here's a very nice large Japan-law twin crystal from the P.C. mine.
Note the phantoms of *sericite*?

Yeah, that's a good size chunk of quartz! Smiley
Love the phantoms. We have been finding some similar phantoms locally lately and are "guessing" Sericite as well, for now...
I don't know how to describe it but the phantoms have a very "transcendental" effect on me.
I can't make out the juxtaposition of the Japan Law from the photo, but am happy to take your word for it. Wink
Did you find this yourself?

I didn't find this. The mine was shut down in 2005, and I was just a baby then!  Smiley
The Japan-law twin in the entire right half of the specimen. Massive if I were to say so myself.

Now, now, of course I saw that big front face, but it does help if you draw me a picture, Thank you, Scott. Smiley
I guess I just want to see it from the other side, and maybe from above and a couple other angles. Actually, Eric, I think I'm going to need to see it in person. If you wouldn't mind just dropping it in the post to me I promise I'll take real good care of it!

Here Eric just joined the Board and I'm coveting all his rocks! I apologize. I will try and behave. Embarrassed
I've had a chance now to look at a few others from that location and that one is a very fine, large, uniquely included specimen. Well Done!
