It's a shame that this tapered crystal broke in half during extraction. The second pic is the best crystal I found yesterday after rudimentary cleaning with a toothbrush and water. It is tapered and (crudely) double terminated.

I wish we had access to a minerology lab, I'd like to chemically compare the beryl from Kensington to the beryl from the Ben Murphy mine and the one Patapsco pegmatite that produces beryl . All three deposits more or less line up in a North eastern direction . They also have very similar associate minerals and form,although the Patapsco crystal are not so granular.
