Any good spots for Sapphires?

Hello Everyone, just looking to see if anyone knows of any good creeks in VA for Sapphires or Topaz. If you don’t want to post your spot for all to see then feel free to send me a direct message. Looking to take my 9 year old on some creek hounding.

Sorry, Baxter, I missed this question of yours.
I've heard about it but never seen any good corundum found in Virginia. North Carolina has much better collecting sites for that, but here's a link to the Mindat map of possible locations of corundum in Virginia.

People used to talk of finding some corundum here,

Scuffling Acres would be a good place to start. You may not find any sapphires but good chance of finding some Amethyst!
